Bits n' Bobs

Who would of thought there was so much to do!!
You're only going to get married once (we hope) and you want it to celebrate the love you feel for each other in a way that suits your relationship, but if you find yourself saying 'oh my goodness, there is just so much to do and I just haven't got the time!' Please don't compromise on what you want, just let us know and we'll do our best to help. In the mean time check out some of our services or time saving options you could think about.

Your wedding web page

This is one of the best services we can offer you in terms of saving you time and money!
Instead of filling your beautifully invitations with directions, local taxi numbers, accommodation etc. (which each insert will cost you more money!) plus the guests doesn't even need this information for the next 3 months so it will inevitably go missing, just let us take away all those stressful phone calls from your guests saying 'I lost the directions, how do I get there?' 'Where was your gift list again?' 'is there anywhere we can stay?' We'll just direct them all to your own personalised web page where you can have directions, links to gift lists and venues, for those travelling some distances you could suggest some other actives they might like to do whilst in the area, or provide them with some useful information on local hotels and taxi firms. You can even introduce your wedding party before the day itself to save your guests mistaking your dad for the hotel porter!
See some samples of what your wedding web page could look like below!

I think you probably get the idea by now!
You say...
Why take our word for it! Read what some of our past customers have to say, I'm sure most wouldn't mind talking to you first hand to you on their experience of White Crafts for extra reassurance.

Your weddings

So many of our brides started sending us their fabulous photo's of their wedding days and all their gorgeous stationery, we thought it to be unfair not to share them with you!

RSVP email

Most of our Wedding Invitation designs have fabulous RSVP's with them, plus it nice to have the formal return from your day time guests along with any menu choice or special dietary requirements they might have. However for your evening guests this is formality is not as necessary and it is becoming more common for your evening guests to drop you an email.
So your evening guests still get to feel the grandeur of your wedding we will provide you with your own private RSVP email address.
Your guest will then receive an email thanking them for their RSVP to your wedding, making them feel like a super special guest, whilst you get to impress all your friends!

RSVP management
If you are just dreading organising all those RSVP's because you know you are just bound to lose one of them, then let us do it for you. Why not have your RSVP's returned to our premises and we'll simply send you spreadsheet up dates on your responses so far.
A little extra help

Dodgy handwriting, clumsy or it'll be 'just my luck' to make a mistake. Why pay for beautiful invitations just to mess up writing the guest names on. Don't worry, we'll print them on for you, saving you the stress and time of writing them and eliminating any chances of mistakes, and more expense of ordering extra invites!
We'll even print their address on the envelopes for you if you want, and if you're really short for time, we'll even post them for you as well.
Leaving you the time to spend with your partner, or doing the things you really want to be doing like trying cakes, or shoe shopping.
Who would of thought sending your invitations would be so easy, or actually enjoyable!!

Have it your way
It is your wedding and if you've got ideas on what you want or how you want some thing to look then just let us know, and we'll ensure your dream stationery becomes a reality!

Ordering

Ordering is simple, if you can see exactly what you want on the website just drop us an email at kelly@whitecrafts.com telling us what design, and colour you like. Although many people prefer to pop round and have a good look through the designs before they come to a decision.
We'll then ask you lots of questions to get your wording just right. Then we'll send you a sample of exactly what your invitation will look like, then if there are any changes you wish to make just let us know (remember any alterations you want to make are free)
Once your design is confirmed then we will need your final numbers, remember you will need approximately half the number of invitations to guests as most will be couples or families. 50% of your final amount is due up front as deposit the second 50% payment is then due on completion. If you want to order extra stationery such as order of service, place cards, table plans etc. payment for these will be arranged as and when you want/need them.
Packages aren't something that we are fond of here, as everyone's wedding and stationery order is always so different. You might need 48 invitations (so what's the point having to pay for 50 in a package) then once you've got all your RSVP's in you realise you only need 94 place cards not the 100 you have already signed up for. We don't believe in charging you for things you don't want or need!

How much?
You've probably noticed, we have no prices on the web site, this is not because we are stupidly priced. This is because as we offer the web page, all your guests come through to our web site and we think it would be unfair for your guests to know how much you paid for your invitations, place cards, or your table plan for your wedding. Our prices are no secret so if you want to chat about anything please just drop us email kelly@whitecrafts.com or give me a bell on 07841 623403

When should I order my invitations?

It is a good idea to order your invitations as soon as you have decided on a supplier or a design, I know we get booked up very quickly and it's always horrible telling someone I'm sorry but we just don't have time to fit you in :(

When should I send out my invitations?
Invitations should go out approximately 3 months before your wedding date
When should I send out save the dates?
Send out your save the dates as soon as you have confirmed your venues and the date is firmly in the diary.
How many should I order?
Obviously check your guest list, then check it again! You don't want to order the exact number you need only for your partner to turn round and say 'where's the invite for Pete & Sue' or for your parents to say well I've told neighbours Harry & Lisa that they're invited but we're just waiting to get the formal invite to them. Harry & Lisa were not invited and you weren't even aware that you partner wanted to invite Pete & Sue. Make sure EVERYONE is clear on who is invited and who is not, clearing this up early will save you a lot of stress in the long run. I have known invitation orders to over double (especially evening lists) once the couple have finally confronted both sets of parents on the guest list!
Assuming you have done the above, as a general rule of thumb, always order a few extra just encase you spill wine or make a mistake on one, plus you and your mum will probably want one or two as a keepsake.
With evening invitations I would say order an extra 5, despite the most organised bride, there are always people you forget, how on earth did I forget them??!!
Can I order extra at a later date?
If you do need to order extra invitations this is not a problem, if we have enough materials in to complete your additional invites then they are charged per invitation. If we have to order extra materials then sometimes there is an additional ordering charge but this would be no more than approximately £7 on top of your invitations. If we are already placing orders with those suppliers anyway then you will not be liable for the extra charge to cover postage of materials. We're in the business of providing good service not ripping people off!
Do your invitations come with envelopes?
Yep they sure do, we include everything listed clearly in our quotes, the only additional charges would be if you wanted us to post your stationery to you, and this would be at what ever the post office charges us. However you are always welcome to collect your goods from the workshop, which most people do.
What should I say in them?
We will help you with this, just tell us who you want to host the wedding (who is going to invite people), this is traditionally the brides parents but whatever you want to say is fine. It is your wedding and these are your friends and family you are inviting so you can say whatever you want! There are traditions but there are no right or wrongs.
Can I have them in a different language?
You can have your invitations in whatever language you want, so far we've done, English, Welsh, Spanish & Romanian. As long as you can provide us with the correct spelling etc. then you can have them.
RSVP date?
Check with your reception or caterers when they need final numbers by. Some require them earlier than others. It may also differ if you are having a choice menu, and your guests are pre ordering their meal before the day. Otherwise it is normal to request responses 4-6 weeks before the wedding, this will also give you time to chase any slow RSVPer's or send out an extra wedding invitation as you have a free space as one of your original guests are unable to make it!
I want to make my own but need materials.
If you want to make your own but just want to buy your materials from us this is not a problem just let us know what you need and we'll do our best to help you.
Will your prices go up?
Yes, from time to time our prices do go up, all quotes stand for 28 days of issue, but once you've paid your deposit this freezes the price for you. I have had people pay deposits in 2009 for their wedding in 2012 and got an amazing deal.
How can I pay?
We accept bank transfer, cash or cheques. You will always receive an invoice from us and records of your payments.
You look too young to run your own business how long have you going? I may have added the 'you look too young' bit just to massage my ego, my age is not important, but I'm old enough to have gained a 2:1 degree, work for serval different event companies, get married and have two children. White Crafts has been running since 2008.
I have more questions?
There is no such thing as a stupid question, for most of you this will be the first time planning a wedding and you want to know you are doing everything you are suppose to be doing, so if you are unsure about anything please just ask!
Green Policy

We try and eliminate any waste, by reusing as much as we can! Any unusable ribbon, card, or gems all go to local schools and nurseries to encourage the next generation to get artistic! We try and reuse as much packaging as possible but again when we can not this is either recycled using the governments recycling channels or again go to the local schools and nurseries (I didn't know you could create so many things with left over ribbon reels and packaging card!!)
